Terms of service

These terms apply to Register, provided by Vereon Ltd. By creating a business on Register or accepting an invitation to one, you agree to them. Last updated 23 October 2026.

The product

Register is a till for selling at a business's own counter, on its own laptop, tablet or phone: its products with their stock, and its services, rung up by tapping or scanning; payment taken in cash, through its own card machine or through its own QR code; receipts printed, emailed, or sent on WhatsApp with the WhatsApp add-on; returns, voids and refunds; stock counts, suppliers and purchase orders; the end-of-day report and other reports; a customer book, invoices, an Inbox and automations. Register records payments; it doesn't process them. We may change or add features; we will not remove something you rely on without notice.

Your account and your business

  • Register is for businesses. You must be 18 or over to use it.
  • Keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for what is done with it.
  • The business's owner and its admins decide who is on the team and with what role, and can remove anyone but the owner. Only the owner can hand the business over or close it.
  • You must have the right to sell what you ring up, and your prices, receipts and returns policy must be honest.
  • For the personal data your business puts into Register (your customers' details and their sales), we act on your behalf as described in the privacy policy. Ask us for a data processing agreement if you need one.

Your sales

A sale rung up on Register is between you and your customer, on your prices and your returns policy. You decide returns and refunds, and the money moves directly between you and the customer — cash into your drawer, a card on your own machine, a payment into your own account — so Register records what happened but never holds the funds. Check that a card or QR payment really went through before the goods leave the counter; your card machine and your payment providers are yours, under your own agreements with them. Register's totals and reports help you keep your books, but your accounts and tax stay your responsibility. Disputes about a sale are between you and your customer; we will give you the sale's record to help settle them.

Receipts and customer messages

Register emails your customers on your behalf: receipts, return confirmations, review requests, the other automations you switch on, and invoices — and, if you turn on the WhatsApp add-on, sends them on WhatsApp too. You must have the right to contact the addresses and numbers you enter, which normally means the customer gave them to you for their receipt. Receipts and messages about a sale are not a marketing channel, and using them as one is a breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

Do not use Register to sell anything unlawful, to mislead customers about what they are buying or what it costs, to spam, or to interfere with the service or other businesses on it. We may suspend a business that does.

Payment

Register costs, per business, £5 a month or £50 a year for a business charging in pounds, Rs 1,500 a month or Rs 15,000 a year for one charging in Pakistani rupees, and $6 a month or $60 a year in US dollars for any other, billed in that currency by card through Stripe. A subscription stays in the currency it started in. No VAT is charged, as Vereon Ltd is not VAT-registered; if that changes, we'll tell you before prices change. Every new business starts with a free week, no card asked for. When the week ends without a subscription, or a subscription ends, the till stops ringing up new sales, the dashboard becomes read-only and nothing is deleted. You can cancel from the dashboard at any time (Settings → Billing → Manage subscription), and a cancelled business keeps working until the end of the period it has paid for. There are no per-sale fees, and Register takes no share of your sales.

That price includes one person on your team. Each further team member who can sign in to your business (someone who has accepted an invitation in Settings → Team) adds £0.50 a month or £5 a year in pounds, Rs 150 a month or Rs 1,500 a year in rupees, and $0.60 a month or $6 a year in US dollars, at the same interval and on the same invoice as the plan. Invitations that haven't been accepted are not charged for. When the number of team members changes during a billing period, the difference is prorated by Stripe onto your next invoice.

WhatsApp messages are an optional add-on to a subscription: £2 a month in the UK, Rs 600 in Pakistan, $2.50 everywhere else, plus messages at cost, in the subscription's currency, the fee billed monthly on the same invoice. Messages are paid for in advance: either a monthly package of messages about sales sent from Register's own WhatsApp number, billed in advance with the subscription (a package's messages don't carry over to the next month; top-up messages are kept until used), or a balance, topped up in advance, from which each message sent from the business's own number is taken at the price list shown in Settings → WhatsApp when it is sent, priced by the customer's country and the kind of message. We may change those prices when Meta or our messaging provider change their fees; a change never reprices a package or a message already paid for. Turning the add-on off stops further messages; a package stops at its next renewal, and top-ups and balance are kept for if it is turned on again.

Your content and your data

What you put into Register — your products, your customers, your sales — stays yours. You give us the permission needed to store it, show it to your team, put it on your receipts and invoices, and send the messages you switch on. We make no other use of it, and your owner and admins can export your sales and customers at any time.

Liability

Register is provided with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for the products and services you sell, for a card or QR payment that didn't reach you, for your card machine, printer or scanner, for not being able to use the till while your device or internet connection is down, for loss caused by your own content or by events outside our control, and our liability for anything else is limited to the fees paid for your business in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending

The owner can close the business at any time, from Settings. We can end these terms with 30 days' notice, or at once if they are broken. After ending, the privacy policy says what happens to the data.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions go to info@vereon.tech.
