WhatsApp messages

Send a receipt on WhatsApp from the till, or add WhatsApp to your plan and receipts, returns and follow-ups go there by themselves.

  1. WhatsApp receipt, on Sale done, needs nothing set up: it opens WhatsApp with a short message and a link to their receipt, for you to send from your own phone. To have them go by themselves, there's the WhatsApp add-on.
  2. Settings → WhatsApp → WhatsApp add-on

The add-on is £2 a month in the UK, Rs 600 in Pakistan, $2.50 everywhere else, plus messages at cost, in the same money as your plan. Once you've subscribed, an owner or admin chooses how it goes in Settings, then WhatsApp: from Register's own number, with nothing to set up, or from your own.
  3. What WhatsApp costs

Every message is paid for ahead, at what it costs. On Register's number you buy a monthly package: 100 messages are £1.65 on the UK plan and Rs 480 on the Pakistan plan, and a top-up carries you on if they run out. On your own number each message comes off a balance you top up, priced by the customer's country and the kind of message: a receipt to a customer in Pakistan is Rs 6.07, an offer Rs 16.38, a reply within 24 hours of theirs Rs 1.28. Settings → WhatsApp lists every country in your own money.
  4. WhatsApp's rule: a message you start must use a template Meta has approved. Register's come ready, Your receipt, Your return and How was everything?, and go to Meta the moment you connect; approval usually takes minutes. Your receipt reads: “Hi Amy, thanks for coming in! Your receipt 1047 for £68.00 is at your receipt link whenever you need it.”
  5. Automation → a flow → + → Send a WhatsApp

Switch on Also send on WhatsApp and every customer who gave a phone number gets their receipt and return messages on WhatsApp too; the emails still go. Or add Send a WhatsApp as a step in any automation.
  6. On your own number, once a customer writes to you, it lands in your Inbox and you can reply in your own words for 24 hours, at a reply's price. If they reply STOP, Register sends them nothing more on WhatsApp, and START brings them back.
