Lesson 2 of 7 · 3 min

Add a product

What it is, what it costs, its photo and its category: everything that puts it on the till's shelf.

  1. Products → New product

A product is anything on your shelves. Under Products, press New product and the editor opens with its sections down the side: Description, Product details, Price, Sizes & options, Photos and On the till.
  2. Description

Under Description, say what kind of thing it is: Food & drink, Clothing & shoes, Health & supplements, Beauty & make-up, Home & gifts or something else. Then a name, a tagline and a category. The category groups the till's shelf, so Mugs sit together; the kind only picks what I suggest next.
  3. On the till

Under Price, set what it costs at the till. Sold by weight or by the metre, or priced on the day? Under On the till, tick Ask the price each time, and the till asks what to charge whenever it's rung up: Noor Studio sells lawn by the metre that way, from Rs 1,200 a metre.
  4. Photos

Save, and you land on Photos: one picture is plenty, and it's the tile people at the counter tap. Photos go up as soon as you pick them; they don't wait for Save.
  5. Stopped selling something? Archive it: it leaves the till straight away, and its sales and receipts keep working. Only a product that's never been sold can be deleted.
