Lesson 5 of 9 · 2 min

Split a payment

Part cash, part card, part QR: take one, then the rest another way, and the receipt shows each.

  1. Take payment → Cash

Paying part cash, part card? Take the cash first: type what they've got and the till takes it and says what's left. £40.00 in cash on a £63.00 sale leaves £23.00.
  2. Take payment → Card machine

Then switch to Card machine: the amount is what's left. Approved, and the sale is done. Want less on this card? Type a smaller amount and take the rest by QR, or on a second card.
  3. Took one by mistake? Take it off before the sale's done; the others stay. The receipt and the sale show each part, and End of day counts each in its own column.
