Lesson 2 of 4 · 3 min

Inventory and stock counts

What's on the shelf for every size and colour, what's running low, and keeping the numbers true with counts and adjustments.

  1. Products → Inventory

Your stock is under Products, in its Inventory tab: what's on the shelf for every size and colour, what's on order, and how many of each sold in the last 30 days.
  2. The views at the top: All, Running low, Sold out and Not counted. A product's stock settings say when it's running low: then the till's tile says Only 3 left, and it's on the Overview under Running low.
  3. Count stock

Add or remove records a breakage, or a box that came without a purchase order. Count sets what's really on the shelf; if a sale lands while you're counting, it asks you to check again rather than writing over it.
  4. Stock history

Stock history shows every change and where it came from: Sold, Returned, Restocked, Stock count, Counted at the till, Sale voided. Nothing is ever written over.
